Peter Clarke
Peter J. Clarke, Esq. received his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Hofstra University in
Hempstead, New York in 1989. In 1993, Peter moved to Houston, Texas to attend the Thurgood Marshall School of Law (TMSL) at Texas Southern University, where he obtained his Juris Doctorate, Cum Laude, in 1996. While at TMSL, Peter competed on the school’s National Moot Court team. Following graduation, Peter clerked with the Honorable Carl E. Stewart, Circuit Judge (Chief Judge 2012-2019), for the United Stated Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals in Shreveport, Louisiana.
In 1997, after his clerkship, Peter returned to Houston and established the law firm of Clarke Law, PLLC. He practices in the areas of plaintiff’s personal injury, contracts, civil litigation, arbitration and mediation. Peter has been a certified mediator since 2004 and an arbitrator since 2001, where he has served on numerous arbitration panels and rosters, including the U.S. Postal Service/NALC/APWU/NPMHU panels, Southern District of Texas and the Federal Mediation and Conciliation Services (FMCS) rosters.
Peter has been a former guest Professor of Law at TMSL, lecturer for the Sports & Entertainment Law Society at TMSL, and a lecturer at the Texas State Bar Minority Attorney Program. Peter has been or is currently a member of the Texas State Bar, American Bar Association, National Bar Association, Houston Lawyers Association, Texas Trial Lawyers Association, Houston Trial Lawyers Association and the Trial Lawyers College.

Melika Charles is a dedicated law clerk with a strong background in personal injury law. She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Central Florida (UCF) and is currently pursuing her Juris Doctor at Thurgood Marshall School of Law.
Before law school, she gained four years of experience as a paralegal, developing a deep understanding of legal procedures, case management, and client advocacy. Her experience in both administrative and legal roles has equipped her with the skills to assist attorneys effectively, conduct legal research, and support litigation efforts. Melika is committed to further developing her legal expertise and contributing to the dynamic legal team here at Clarke Law.

Robert May Jr. is a law clerk at Clarke Law PLLC, where they assist in handling cases ranging from simple contract disputes to complex tort litigation.
As a second-year law student at Thurgood Marshall School of Law in Houston, Texas, Robert is passionate about personal injury law, civil litigation, negligence research, and persuasive writing. Beyond their work at the firm, Robert serves as the Class President and a Student Ambassador at Thurgood Marshall School of Law.
He is also an active member of the Professional Student Task Force and a Barbri Representative, demonstrating his commitment to both academic excellence and professional development.

Paolo Ramirez works as a paralegal on our team. He graduated from the University of Houston’s paralegal program and has an Associates degree in Science from Lonestar College, he is planning on continuing his education to receive his bachelors in history and enter law school. He is passionate about helping others, and wishes to pursue a side of law in which he is able to help those in need of proper representation. Paolo is also fluent in both English and Spanish.
In his days away from the office, Paolo loves to spend time with his friends and loved ones, discovering new places Houston has to offer as well as traveling.

Jules Perrodin is a graduate of Southern University and A&M College in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. With nearly three years of experience in personal injury law, he has gained valuable insight on both the pre-litigation and litigation sides of the field. Jules is currently preparing to begin law school as he continues his journey toward becoming an attorney.
